White Castle Brut (75cl)
White Castle Brut is an elegant blend of Phoenix and Seyval Blanc grapes. Made in the traditional méthod Champenoise style and bottle aged for 18-30 months, it has a light floral nose with hints of elderflower and gooseberry, and subtle toasty notes. Well structured, with a delicate mousse and the classic biscuity flavours indicative of yeast lees ageing, it’s ideal for celebrations. 12% ABV.
About White Castle
Set on a former dairy farm in the rolling green hills of Monmouthshire, just outside Abergavenny, White Castle Vineyard is the dream made real of Robb and Nicola Merchant. The couple planted their first 4,000 vines in 2009, and made their first harvest in 2011, with the aim of creating truly quality Welsh wine. The couple now have seven acres of vines, and their award-winning selection ranges from delicate dry whites to fruity reds and a luscious port-style fortified wine that takes its name – 1581 – from the date of the beautiful Tudor barn at the foot of their vineyard.
