Jarlsberg, created in Norway more than 60 years ago as part of a university research project, this mellow golden Gouda-style cheese is made with cow’s milk and a unique cheese culture that gives it its distinctive smooth, creamy texture pocketed with large round holes. Sweet and nutty tasting, it’s delicious sliced for sandwiches, and equally good melted in toasties, over burgers and pizzas, or in mac and cheese. Suitable for vegetarians.
