The first of our new-season Farm-Assured lamb comes from Davey Rees, at Gwern-y-bwtler Farm just above Crickhowell. His ewes lamb early, in December, so the lambs start their lives under cover before moving on to lush green pastures. They grow quickly, and it means they’re ready for us at the start of spring: sweet, tender and perfect for Easter.
For the rest of the year, we source our lamb from other trusted farmers in the Black Mountains and, depending on supply, occasionally from the local Talgarth market. Rest assured it’s always Welsh and always grass-fed!
